Our game files may trigger a false positive in some antivirus software (like Windows Defender) because they are protected against manipulation and cheats. They are safe to use. Please follow these steps for smooth installation and launching:

Add to Defender Exclusions

1. Open Windows Security (search in Start menu).
2. Click Virus & threat protection.
3. Scroll to Virus & threat protection settings and click Manage settings.
4. Scroll down to Exclusions and click Add or remove exclusions.
5. Click Add an exclusion:
   • File: Select your downloaded installer file (e.g. Silkroad_Project65_v1_122.exe).
   • Folder: Select your game install folder (e.g. C:\Games\Silkroad_Project65 or wherever you installed).

Run as Administrator

If you installed the game in C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files (x86), please set the following files to always run as administrator:

• Silkroad.exe
• launcher.exe
• launcher_vip.exe

To do this:

1. Right-click each file, select Properties.
2. Go to the Compatibility tab.
3. Check Run this program as an administrator.
4. Click OK.

Why? These steps prevent installation issues and launch errors caused by overprotective antivirus software or restricted folder permissions.
